The Palestinian DCL has been informed by their Israeli counterpart that Erez will soon assume the status of an international crossing (as has been reported in Haaretz). Once this takes place Palestinians will require a visa to enter Israel. At the current time, patients leaving Gaza for treatment in Israel are still able to use their permits.
Today 189 workers and 314 merchants crossed Erez into Israel.
